William Downing Obituary, Death – William “Bill” Faus Downing, who was 69 years old at the time of his death, passed away on March 29, 2022 at TriPoint Hospital. He called the city of Concord his home. Bill Downing was born in Japan on September 11, 1952. His parents, Dr. William Downing and Marjorie (nee: Faus) Downing, both passed away before Bill was born. Both of his parents had already passed away before he was born. He attended Wittenberg University, where he was a founding member of the fraternity Beta Theta Phi and later went on to earn a degree from that institution.

Bill was a keen follower of not only the sport of golf but also all of Ohio’s other competitive athletic endeavors. In addition to that, he cherished the time he got to spend with his family and embarking on exciting new adventures. Among those who continue to carry on his legacy are his wife, Janet (nee: Fell) Downing, his daughter Bethany (Lisa) Downing, his son Mark Downing, and his sisters Peggy Downing and Patricia Howe. Also included in this group is his wife. Susan McMennamin, one of his sisters, had already passed away before to his passing.

His mother and father had already passed away when he was born. On July 9, 2022, there will be a Celebration of Life held at the Painesville Country Club, which can be found at 84 Golf Dr., Painesville, Ohio 44077. A golf outing is going to be a part of the event. Starting at 9:30 in the morning and going all the way until 11:30 in the morning, there will be tee times available at the Country Club. The Celebration of Life for Bill will take place from four in the afternoon until seven in the evening.
