Tom Tranter Obituary, Tom Tranter Has Passed Away – Death

Tom Tranter Death, Obituary – It is with a heavy heart that we have to inform you that our dearly loved Tom Tranter has passed away. Tom was the best friend that my family could have asked for throughout the years, and he will be sorely missed by all of those who had the opportunity to spend time with him. Plans for the funeral are now being made, and they will be communicated to everyone once the date and timings have been determined.

During this trying time, our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Debbie and the rest of the Tranter family. We are sorry for the loss of your loved one. Tom will be sorely missed by everyone in Cedar Valley, and I know that I speak for all of them when I say that. Tom attended Brigham Young University in Hawaii as well as the University of Utah before going on to serve an LDS mission in central Florida.

He relocated back to Florida, where he continued his education at Rollins College and graduated with a degree in commercial paint estimating. Tom’s affection for his home in Florida was undeniable, yet he never stopped longing for the mountains and the changing seasons of Utah. He enjoyed downhill skiing, mountain biking, and shooting targets. When he was in Florida, one of his favorite things to do was go saltwater fishing off the coast of New Smyrna Beach.

He thoroughly enjoyed traveling to Germany and Switzerland, as well as hunting vacations to South Dakota with his friends. Lesley and Ashley Martin, both of Orlando, Florida, and Ian Martin, also of Orlando, Florida, are Tom’s daughters. He is also survived by his sisters Joene Tranter and Sheila Sannar of Yuba City, California, as well as his nieces Jeri Ann Dale and Andrea Blackham and their families. His parents and brother David all passed away before he did. His father and mother died first.
