Taray VanTilbu Obituary, Taray VanTilbu Has Passed Away – Death
Taray VanTilbu Death, Obituary – We ask that you remember the family of Avis Louise VanTilburg, who passed away on February 4, 2023 at the Terrace Manor Nursing Home at the age of 91. Avis Louise was a resident of Russellville. Avis spent several years in the Miami, Florida area working as a company manager, specifically in the fields of accounting and payroll.
She had an air of sophistication and style at all times, and she always looked fantastic. She had a soft spot in her heart for her poodles and was an avid gardener who grew her own vegetables. She read the entire Bible more than 36 times because it was one of her favorite books to read.
She never failed to remind her younger sisters that she was the oldest child in the family. Everyone adored being in Avis’s presence because she was the type of lady who took the initiative. She brought her desk with her to the nursing home so that she could continue to be in charge and continue working. She was predeceased by her husband, William VanTillburg; her parents, William Johnny and Eascie Flora Taylor; her sisters, Clara Nell Lindsey and Ruby Newell; her brother, L.Z. Taylor; and her nephew, Bobby. Her parents were both born in the United States.
She is survived by her sisters Pat Taylor Campbell (Malcolm), Betty Quinn (Butch), and Brenda Gail McRae (Terry), as well as her nephews Tony and Alan. Her memory will be cherished by all of them.
The funeral will be held privately for the family, and burial will take place at Cedar Tree Cemetery.
The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the nurses and staff at Terrace Manor Nursing Home for the care and compassion that they have shown their loved one over the past few years. A unique and heartfelt thank you is also due to Bro. Keith Prince for his visits and prayers offered beside her.
