Robert Taylor Death, Obituary –  On January 26, 2023, Robert Austin Taylor passed away in a manner that was unexpected. He was engaged in the activity that brought him the greatest joy—playing with his daughters at home—when he passed away. On Saturday, February 4, 2023, at one o’clock in the afternoon, funeral services will be held in the Bond Auditorium of the Stephenville High School.

The Gardens of Memory in Stephenville have been chosen as the location for his interment. Visitation with the Taylor family will be held at the Stephenville Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. On November 2, 1990, Austin Taylor was born to his parents, Sam and Delaina Taylor. On March 11, 2017, Austin wed Madison Delaney Goodwin, the girl he had known since high school and who continues to be the love of his life.

Together, they are the proud parents of two lovely girls: Nora Jane (age 4) and Della Rae (2). Austin’s high school athletic career included time spent on the basketball, football, golf, and track teams. Austin won the district championship in both the one mile and the two mile events when he was just a freshman in high school. He also qualified for the regional track meet in each of those events. In the event of cross country, he has also qualified for the regionals.

After completing his studies at Houston’s High School for Advanced Studies, Austin went on to earn his Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from the University of Houston. After that, he earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from South Texas College of Law in Houston, where he studied law for several years. Austin had a part-time job at the Lanier Law Firm in Houston while he was attending law school there.

After he graduated from law school, the firm hired him to work there full-time as an attorney. In November of 2022, Austin was promoted to the position of Senior Attorney at the firm. The National Trial Lawyers Association honored Austin as one of its “Top 40 under 40” in the year 2020.
