Richard Richardson Obituary, Death – Richard D. Richardson, age 57, died away without suffering on January 25, 2023. He was surrounded by his devoted family at the time of his passing. Stuebenville, Ohio was the location of his birth on January 16, 1966. His parents were Earl Richardson and Karen (Kendle). Buckeye North High School and Mount Vernon Nazarene University each awarded Rich with a diploma upon completion of their respective programs. On July 25, 1988, he became a member of the Columbus Division of Fire, and he spent the entirety of his career working for Battalion 5 on the West Side of the city. During those 34 years, he served the people of Columbus with unwavering devotion.
Patti’s devoted husband of 34 years who he loves very much. A loving and devoted father to his children Michael (Taylor), Matthew, Megan, and Madeline. Grandfather of three who adores his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brothers Doug (Diane), Bob (Suzy), and a large extended family that includes several in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces and nephews. His grandparents also survive him. Molly Magdalene, his infant daughter, died before he did. She was his predecesor. On Thursday, February 2, 2023, the family and friends of the deceased will be received at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
The church is located at 10700 Liberty Rd. in Powell, Ohio. On Friday, February 3, 2023, at eleven o’clock in the morning, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held, and the celebrant will be Father James P. Black. The Resurrection Cemetery in Lewis Center, Ohio will be the location of the burial services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Columbus Firefighters Foundation or the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church.
