Richard Honeycutt Obituary, Death – Richard E. Honeycutt, better known as “Rick,” passed away unexpectedly on January 12, 2023, at the age of 65. Unanticipatedly, he was taken away from us. Rick was a graduate of Powell Valley High School, which is located in California. After finishing his high school education there, he joined the United States Army National Guard and served for a while. He had a passion for the outdoors and was a fan of both fishing and NASCAR racing. He never met a stranger.
His maternal grandmother, Doris Honeycutt, his infant sister Kim Honeycutt, as well as his paternal grandparents, Ray and Laura Smith and Wilbur and Alice Honeycutt, all went away before he was born. His paternal grandparents were Ray and Laura Smith and Wilbur and Alice Honeycutt. His father’s parents, Ray and Laura Smith, as well as his mother’s parents, Wilbur and Alice Honeycutt, were his paternal grandparents.
His father, Elmo Honeycutt, along with his children Rick Honeycutt, Brittany (BJ) Richardson, Jeremy (Kerri) Honeycutt, and Jared Honeycutt, in addition to his siblings Billy Ray Honeycutt, Tim (Cindy) Honeycutt, Lisa (Jim) Sturgill, and Sherrie Fields; grandchildren Landon Honeycutt, Arianna Green, Brylee Richardson, Scarlett Honeycutt, and Brentley Richard
There will be a visitation for Richard E. Honeycutt on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and any friends who would like to pay their respects are more than welcome to do so during those hours. The visitation will be held at the funeral home. Following this, Rick’s lifetime friend and pastor, John Dickenson, will take the helm at the funeral service that will be held in his honor and preside over the proceedings.
The memorial service will be held as a tribute to Rick. It has been decided that Kerri Honeycutt, John Dickenson, and Renee Bolling will put on a special performance for this event in the style of a musical performance. Immediately after the conclusion of the funeral service, the body will be laid to rest at the Powell Valley Memorial Gardens.
