Richard Cook Obituary, Resident of Tilton, New Hampshire Has Died – Death

Richard Cook Death, Obituary –  Richard H. Cook, a resident of Tilton, New Hampshire, departed this life on December 14th, 2022, at the age of 68, at Concord Hospital, located in Concord, New Hampshire. Richard, who was known to everyone as “Cookie” and “Cookieman,” was born in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, on March 14, 1954. His parents, Weston F. Cook Sr. and Ruth P. Cook, have both passed away. He is survived by his devoted wife and loving companion, Karen Johnson, who also resides in Tilton, New Hampshire. In addition, he is survived by his children, Kevin Cook of Houston, Texas, Sarah Cook and her children (his grandchildren) Laila, Miriam, Hannah, Paisley, and Krew of Florida, and Valerie Cook of Seattle, Washington.

All three of these families currently reside in the United States. In addition, Richard said his goodbyes to his brother and friend, Weston F. Cook, Jr., and Weston’s wife, Barbara J. Cook, both of Rye, New Hampshire, as well as to their children, Paul, Ruth, and Eleanor, as well as to his cherished critter colleagues, his beloved Parker (dog), and Wynton (Cat). Richard spent his childhood in Rye, New Hampshire, where he spent his time exploring the “Moodyville” area’s cornfields, swamps, and forests.

When he was a kid, his favorite things were animals, trucks, his school friends, and the beaches in the area. After some time had passed, Cookie joined the Rye Boy Scouts as a devoted member of the troop. He looked back on his time spent in scouting with a lot of fondness and often talked about how proud he was to have achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. During his time in school, he also developed a serious interest in the sport of basketball.

He had a job as a lifeguard at one of the state beaches that ran along the coast for a number of years. In 1972, he received his diploma alongside his beloved classmates from Portsmouth Senior High School, where he attended. After that, he attended the University of New Hampshire, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Microbiology and a Minor in Chemistry. He is currently working in the field
