Randy Diehl Obituary, Death – Randy Robert Diehl, age 72, of Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin, passed away suddenly at his home on Tuesday, January 31, 2023. His passing was unexpected. He was the third oldest of ten children born to the late Harold and Arlene (Needham) Diehl. He was born on September 2, 1950, and he grew up in Plain, Wisconsin. On October 31, 1981, he wed Shari L. Paulus at St. Luke’s in Plain.
The ceremony took place at a church in Plain. Randy has been a CPA his whole life. He has always had a kind heart, and he has always enjoyed the office life of giving out financial advice. During his time as manager of the Karen Arms Apartments, he delighted in hearing the endless stories that residents shared with him. Outside of the office, Randy loved to engage in any activity that involved the great outdoors.
You could find him “leading” hunts for DFL, chopping wood, or searching for morel mushrooms. When he was at home, he enjoyed nothing more than tending to his pond or sitting in his favorite recliner and reading the newspaper. He spent a significant amount of time at I-Diehl Tap thinking up solutions to the issues facing the world and playing Euchre. Even if he never asserted that he was the finest Euchre player, the fact remains that he was better than you.
Randy is survived by his wife, Shari; their children Andy (Kya) Diehl and their son, Kash; Alex (Abby) Diehl; Emily Diehl; Matt (Kelly) Diehl and their sons, Miles, Benny, and Leo; Abby Diehl (Kyle Bennwitz) and their daughter Maya; and siblings Teresa (Dan) Lins, Beverly (Bill) Ziech, Mary Jane (Ed) Liegel, Emil A small, intimate service for Randy’s family and close friends will be held in accordance with his desires.
