Mark Marro Death, Obituary –  On Friday, February 3, 2023, Mark A. Marro, 66 years old, passed away at the NMMC in Tupelo, Mississippi. At eleven in the morning on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, there will be a service held at the graveside in the Shuqualak Cemetery with Bro. Derrick Wilson serving as the officiant. Donations in memory of the deceased can be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project in place of flowers.

He spent 37 years working for the United States Postal Service, during which time he had an impact on the lives of hundreds of people. After he had retired from the Postal Service, he began working at the Postal Credit Union, where he remained for more than a decade. Robert was a devoted parishioner at St. Alice Catholic Church in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania. During his time there, he contributed numerous hours running the local Bingo game and helping out in the church’s school, rectory, and social center.

Even after moving to Villas, New Jersey and retirement, he continued the family practice of volunteering at Bingo at both St. Raymond’s and St. John of God. He was a man of many friends, and everyone called him “Bob.” He would give you the clothes right off his back and the very last penny that was in his pocket if you asked him to.

Visitation will take place on Thursday from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Ruffenach Funeral Home, which is located at 4900 Township Line Road in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania 19026. Friends and family are welcome to attend. After the committal service, a funeral mass for Robert will be held at St. Dorothy Church, which can be found at 4910 Township Line Road in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania 19026. After the Mass, the body will be interred in Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery.
