Marian was a member of the Mechanicsburg High School class of 1948 when she received her diploma. After that, she worked for The Bell of Pennsylvania as a human resources secretary until the year 1960, when she finally decided to retire. Marian had been a choir member at the St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mechanicsburg for her entire life. She had been a member of the church since she was a child.
You could find Marian getting lost in a good mystery novel when she has some free time, or you might hear her cheering on “her” Penn State football team when they play. She had a soft spot in her heart for all animals, but cats, horses, and dogs had a particularly dear place in her affections. Coupons and advertisements for sales at department stores were among the things that Marian meticulously organized and maintained throughout the years. Marian’s love and devotion for her family came before all else in her life.
