Manuel Diaz Obituary, Manuel Diaz Has Passed Away – Death
Manuel Diaz Death, Obituary – Today, our hearts are filled with a great deal of sadness. My father, Manuel Diaz Sr., had a very productive and happy life for 86 years before he passed away in a tranquil state. He was encircled by his loved ones and close pals. We are in such deep gratitude for the time we were able to spend with him.
When I think about his life, I remember the example of hard work, dedication, and pride that he set. Without him, I would not be the person that I am now in any way. Even though Manuel was a huge fan of the Browns, nothing could equal to his enthusiasm for playing the guitar, as well as fishing for salmon and trout.
The songs of Manuel’s favorite band, the Beatles, were played and sung by his friends and family for many days. In addition to that, he enjoyed preparing meals, collecting antiques and carnival glass, and watching films such as “The Perfect Storm” and “Platoon.” But the thing that will remain in people’s memories longest about Manuel is his infectious laugh, his wry sense of humor, and the generous nature that won him friends everywhere.
His children, John (Heather) Diaz, Stephanie Diaz, Christy Diaz, and Ray Beeman, all of Ashtabula, Jennifer (Alberto) Gonzalez of Perry, and Liza Diaz of Willoughby; seven grandchildren, Amber, Tyler, Julien, Brooke, Alec, Amiah, and Tristan; and one great-grandchild, Leilonni, are among his survivors. His former wife and constant companion, Evelyn Beeman, is also among His grandparents, his parents, and his cousin Jose Medina all passed away before him.
On Wednesday, August 27, 2008, at 7 o’clock in the evening, Military Honors will be held at the Ducro Funeral Home located at 4524 Elm Avenue in Ashtabula. At a later time, his body will be laid to rest alongside that of his mother in St. Joseph Cemetery. The funeral home will be open for visitation from 6 to 7 o’clock in the evening.
