At the age of 92, Lois Mae Aswegan, who had been a resident at Kennybrook Village in Grimes, Iowa but had been born and raised in Cedar Falls, passed away on February 16, 2020. Lois Mae Aswegan had been living in Grimes. Her hometown was Cedar Falls, but she had made her home in the town of Grimes for a while.
Her parents were William and Anna (Damm) Jorgensen, and she was born on January 8, 1928 in the town of Dike, which is located in the state of Iowa. She was her parents’ only kid and the only child they ever had. On October 5, 1947, Lois Aswegan and Lawrence Aswegan were united in marriage at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. This marked the beginning of their life together as husband and wife.
On October 5th, the event was held to commemorate this occasion. After completing her high school education at Dike, she found employment as a cashier at Daisy Dairy in Waterloo, and then later at Bill’s Grocery in North Cedar. Both of these places were located in Iowa.
After having worked at Bill’s Grocery in North Cedar, she went on to take both of these roles. While she was still alive, she was well-known for her participation in the life of the St. John Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls, which is located in that city.
Her son, Lynn (Tammy) Aswegan, who lives in Grimes, her daughter-in-law, Sandi Aswegan, who lives in Parker, Colorado, and one granddaughter, Elizabeth (Derek) Aswegan, who lives in Oakland, California, are among the members of her family who have survived her passing. There are three different people here, and their names are all Sandi Aswegan.
