Levi Hanna Death, Obituary – A young boy who had just turned 14 and had been struck by a car not far from Gympie passed away in a heartbreaking accident just a few days after the accident took place. Levi Hanna had just gotten off the school bus with his sister on the afternoon of the previous Wednesday when he was struck and murdered by a Hyundai i30 while in the process of crossing Tin Can Bay Road in Canina.
Unfortunately, he did not make a full recovery from his injuries and passed away over the weekend. He was in a critical condition when he was rushed to the Queensland Children’s Hospital in Brisbane, but he did not survive his injuries. The impression given of the early adolescent is one of an energetic young guy who delighted in social activities such as going fishing and playing football with his buddies.
He had the ability to see the humorous side of situations and to make other people laugh out loud. The family of the teenager is receiving support from the community, and on Saturday night, the Gympie Devils Junior Rugby League Club will organize a candlelight vigil to allow them to say their final goodbyes to their loved one. Many people came out to express their support for Levi while donning their finest Akubra hats. This was done in Levi’s honor.
