Karen Colombo Death, Obituary – The tragic news of Karen Colombo’s passing has left all of us in a state of absolute devastation and a sense that we have no control over the situation. She has been a good friend, a loyal volunteer, and an unshakable supporter of the event during the many decades that it has been going on. The Harry Chapin Run Against Hunger has been going on for many decades. A moment of melancholy has descended upon us ever since we were informed of her decision to leave. We are currently in a state of mourning that permeates every area of our being due to the fact that the news of her demise has brought us to that place.
Our friends and neighbors who are in need of assistance were able to benefit from the funds that were raised, and Karen and her husband Sam, working together, offered a positive example and assisted in a plethora of different ways leading up to and on race day each year. The money that was provided will allow us to provide assistance to those members of our family, as well as to our friends and neighbors, who are struggling financially as a result of the current economic climate.
They were able to do this while always maintaining a positive attitude and a can-do mentality, and as a consequence, they were able to make such a significant impact in the lives of such a large number of people who came from a wide range of various backgrounds. Her sweet demeanor and approachable manner have left a lasting impression on a substantial number of us, and they will continue to do so in the years to come.
This is as a result of the fact that she is incredibly generous with both the time and the energy that she has available to her. Thank you Karen. You will be greatly missed, and the other members of the family, especially Sam, want you to know that they are thinking of you and sending their condolences during this difficult time on their behalf.
