Johnathan Moore Obituary , Johnathan Moore Has Passed Away At Age 22 – Death

Johnathan Moore Death, Obituary – The deaths of the personnel were a direct result of an explosion that took place in the vicinity of Sangin in the province of Helmand. Johnathan Moore was born on July 2nd, 1987 in the town of Bellshill, in the county of Lanarkshire. He is currently enlisted in the British Army and serving his country. Before joining the army in 2004, he received his education at Hamilton Grammar School. After joining the army, he went to the Army Foundation College in Harrogate.

His formative years were spent in Hamilton, and it was there that he completed his formal schooling. He completed a year of training geared at fostering junior leadership before moving on to his Phase Two training at the Infantry Training Centre Catterick. This training was designed to prepare him for the unique tasks of the infantry. The duration of this instruction was a whole year. Since enrolling in The Royal Scots (The Royal Regiment) in March 2005, he has since completed two tours of duty in Iraq on separate occasions.

As Section Commander for B Company, The Royal Scots Borderers, 1st Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland, which was a component of the 3rd Battalion The Rifles (3 RIFLES) Battle Group, Corporal Moore was deployed to Sangin in October 2009 as part of his duties. The majority of the company’s operations are carried out at Patrol Base Wishtan, which is situated in the Sangin district of Helmand province.

These operations have been planned with the intention of providing the local people, who are also their neighbors, with chances for protection as well as advancement. On the evening of February 7, a section that Corporal Moore was commanding was conducting a regular night patrol to the south of the company base when an improvised explosive device went off, killing both his life and the life of his lead man.

Both of their lives were taken by the explosion. Johnathan was a brave Scottish soldier who died while serving his country in a role that he was passionate about; he leaves behind a family that adores and is immensely proud of him. According to statements made by members of Corporal Moore’s family, Johnathan was a patriotic Scottish soldier who was engaged in a line of work that he enjoyed. We are beyond devastated by the news of Johnathan’s passing as the Army and his family were the two central focuses of his life.
