John Thomas Obituary, Narberth Fire Company Chief Has Died – Death

John Thomas Obituary, Death – Yesterday, we were given the sad news that Chief Emeritus John Thomas Sr., who was fondly called “Pops,” had passed away. His passing was a great loss to all of us. Chief Thomas served the Narberth Fire Company for over 50 years, and for 23 of those years, he was the Chief of the department. Chief Thomas’s tenure at the helm spans more than half a century. Which is incredible when you consider that the Narberth Fire Company was founded 126 years ago.

We are profoundly saddened by the fact that Pops was able to impart his knowledge to such a large number of pupils. The names William John and Thomas 1929 – 2022 On June 17, 1929, John W. Thomas, who would later become a member of the Army Air Forces, was born in Springfield Powhatan Point, Ohio. On December 5, 2022, he left this life behind for good and never returned. Both of his parents, Rev. Jones Halley Thomas and Annie B. (Edison-Thomas) Shelby, had passed away before he was born, thus he never met them.

He was named after his mother. John served in the military during World War II. John is survived by his wife of 40 years, Carolyn (Andrews) Thomas, his youngest and last sibling Charmaine (Austin) Grice, sons; Roland, Van (Tanya) Aaron (AT) Thomas, Sr., of Springfield, MA, Marc Thomas of Ludlow, MA, daughters: Gail ‘Rochelle’ Thomas-Lockman, and Kim B. Thomas, and stepchildren Cathy, Wesley, Byron, and Roland Andrews. John also leaves behind John also departs without trace.

His sister Juanita Hill, as well as his brothers Ernest (Uncle Dub), Louis, Rev. Leander, and Frank Uncle (Ocie) Thomas, all gone away before he did. His other sibling was named Juanita Hill. There are three boys in this family, and their names are John F. Sr., Brian A., and JT Michael Thomas. He is survived by a significant number of nephews and nieces who will hold a memorial service for him after he passes away. John has a big number of relatives and friends, including more than 35 grandchildren, a significant number of great-great grandchildren, and a host of additional relatives and friends.
