John Butts Death Obituary – On Saturday, February 4, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., funeral services for John Vincent Butts, 46, who resided in Kilgore, will be held at Peatown Church, and the Reverend Bill Blanks will preside over the ceremony.
After the service, the deceased will be laid to rest in the Peatown Cemetery. At Peatown Church on Saturday, the family will be present to greet friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. before the start of the services. On Sunday, January 29, 2023, John passed away peacefully.
On July 23, 1976, John Vincent Butts made his debut into the world in Longview, Texas. At the age of 46, he parted ways with his family on earth early on the morning of Sunday, January 29, 2023. His entire life was spent in the Gregg County area, and he received his education in the Kilgore public school system, from which he graduated in 1995.
He was an enthusiastic participant in FFA and enjoyed making music, singing, playing the guitar, and spending time in the kitchen with his friends and family. John was an employee at Complete Pipe, which was formerly known as Pipe Maintenance, and he found great satisfaction in both his work and the people he worked with there.
John is survived by his loving family, which consists of his mother Sandra and father George Butts, his children Emma and Gavin Butts, as well as Cora Davis and their mother Amy. Cora is also survived by John’s sister Amy. His sister Lacy Latham, her husband Tommy, and their children Lillie and Layla Latham are also among those who are able to carry on his legacy.
His brother Shannon Thompson, his wife Allyson, and their children Cole and wife Ashlyn, Spencer, and Jake Thompson are also among those who are able to carry on his legacy. John’s mother, Elene Manker Butts, and his brother, George Morris Butts, Jr., as well as his grandparents Ermaline and Haynes Manker and Lucille and J.A. “Buster” Butts, Jr., passed away before him. John was also preceded in death by a large number of other relatives and friends. In lieu of sending flowers, memorial contributions in John’s name can be made to a charity of your choosing.
