Greg Ferguson Obituary, Death – Gregory P. “Greg” Ferguson, who resided in Oklahoma Borough and passed away suddenly on Monday, January 30, 2023 at the age of 53, was taken from this world abruptly. Born in Natrona Heights on August 28, 1969, he was the son of the late Judith K. “Judy” Ferguson of Oklahoma Borough and the late James E. “Jim” Ferguson. His father passed away before. His mother was affectionately referred to as “Judy.” His paternal grandfather went by the name “Jim.” Greg received his high school diploma from Kiski Area High School in 1987.
Since then, he has spent the majority of his professional life working for Medrad in the shipping department of the corporation. He was a devout follower of the doctrine that the Lutheran church preached. Greg was a passionate supporter of gambling as well as the sports teams from Pittsburgh. In addition to that, he enjoyed going to different casinos. Schenley Park was one of his favorite places to go since he could enjoy the outdoors by spending time on the river, playing golf, and getting together with his friends to play cards.
Not only did Greg Ferguson’s grandfather, Jim Ferguson, pass away before him, but also his older brother, Brian K. Ferguson, did. Greg Ferguson was the youngest of the Ferguson brothers. In addition to his mother Judy, Greg is survived by his brother, James E. “Jim” (Lisa) Ferguson, Jr. of Spring Church; his niece, Chelsea (Preston) Cooley of Atwater, Ohio; his nephew, Ryan (Jess) Ferguson of Pittsburgh; his great niece, Casey Cooley; and a large number of other relatives.
At the Curran-Shaffer Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. in Apollo, which is located at 100 Owens View Ave., on Friday, February 3, 2023, the doors will be open to guests from 3 to 5 pm and again from 7 to 9 pm. The memorial service will be place on the 4th of February, 2023, on a Saturday. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at eleven in the morning in the funeral home, with Pastor Eric Damon serving as the officiant. The date and time of the services have not yet been determined. It was decided that the deceased should be laid to rest in the Riverview Cemetery in Apollo.
