Ethleen Bucklar Obituary, Ethleen Bucklar Has Sadly Passed Away – Death
Ethleen Bucklar Death, Obituary – We are saddened to inform you that Ethleen June Bucklar has passed away. Our condolences go out to her family and friends. On THURSDAY, the 9th of FEBRUARY 2023, a Funeral Service for Ethleen will be place at St. Columba’s Catholic Church, which is located on Gill Street in Charters Towers. The event will start at 11 a.m.. After arriving there, the funeral procession for Ethleen will continue on to the Lynd Highway Cemetery in Charters Towers.
Ethleen was a fervent follower of the Catholic faith and went to mass every day. For a period of four years, she served as a volunteer instructor in a Catholic school located in Dallas, Texas. After obtaining her degree from Texas Women’s University in Denton, Texas, she worked for the Lasara School District in Lasara, Texas, for a total of 26 years, during which time she was recognized as an outstanding educator.
Over the course of 5000 hours, Ethleen gave her time with the Candy Stripers in several hospitals throughout the Rio Grande Valley. Additionally, she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. She enjoyed going to new places. Madeline, her granddaughter, was her traveling companion on many of their adventures. She was always friendly and willing to lend a helping hand to anyone required it. She spent a significant amount of time at the Adoration Chapel located within the Saint Hyacinth Catholic Church.
Her father, Maurice Hickey Sr., and her mother, Cecilia Hickey, as well as her two brothers, Father John Hickey and Maurice Hickey Jr., and her three sisters, Joanne Hickey Sissons, Mary Ruth Hickey Mica, and Helen Hickey Dieter, all before her in death. Ethleen is survived by her three brothers, Lawrence Hickey and wife Esther, Deacon Dennis Hickey and wife Mollie, and Donald Hickey and wife Irene, as well as a sister in law named Anna Ruth Hickey, a granddaughter named Madeline Mikolajczak, and a number of nephews and nieces.
