Donna Ryan Obituary NY, Donna Ryan Has Passed Away – Death

Donna Ryan Obituary, Death – After a protracted and difficult struggle with dementia, Donna L. (McGuire) Ryan, age 71, of Lowell, Massachusetts, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at her home in Lowell. She was the much-loved wife of Daniel E. Ryan, with whom she and her husband were planning to celebrate their golden wedding anniversary this September. She was the daughter of the late Arthur McGuire and Jeannette (Rousseau) McGuire and was born in Lowell on April 30th, 1951. Her parents have now passed away.

In Donna’s earlier years, she worked as a nurse at Lowell General Hospital. Subsequently, she found employment at Greater Lowell Pediatrics, where she remained for the next 38 years of her life. Camping was one of Donna’s favorite activities, and she and her family spent many happy summers at Lake Winnipesaukee and on vacations in St. Maarten. She had a deep affection for all kinds of animals, but particularly felines and canines, was a fanatical reader of Danielle Steel books, and enjoyed playing bingo. The time she got to spend with her children and grandkids was what brought her the most happiness.

She is survived by her husband Daniel, as well as her three children and their spouses: Jason Ryan and his wife JoAnn of Hudson, New Hampshire; Jeffrey Ryan and his wife Jennifer of Burlington; and Heather Reese and her husband Brian Reese Sr. of Sacramento, California; her five granddaughters: Ashley, Kailyn, Madison, Morgan, and Mackenna; her three step-grandchildren: Brian Jr., Hayley, and Cameron; her brother Roger Bonin and his wife Carolyn of Sh She was the sister of Carolyn Vogler, who passed away previously.

On the morning of Wednesday, June 29, from 10 am to 12 pm, there will be a celebration of Donna’s life held at the M. R. Laurin & Son Funeral Home, located at 295 Pawtucket St., in Lowell. Family and friends are invited to attend. The visitation will come to a close at 12 noon with a prayer service that will be held at the Funeral Home. The burial will be a private affair. Beacon Hospice, located at 290 Merrimack Street, Suite 242, Lawrence, Massachusetts 01843, is accepting donations in lieu of flowers.
