Chris Collier Obituary, Chris Collier Passed Away – Death

Chris Collier Obituary Death – It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of one of our former admins, Chris Collier, Chris later went on to open his own page SunderLad before moving fully into photography. Chris was a former Army Captain who served with the Parachute Regiment, Chris sadly leaves behind 3 children and a fiancé who are in our thoughts at this tragic time.

Chris passed this morning, the details are not fully known at this time but it is suspected this was down to a cardiac arrest. Please see below comments from some of the admin team who were on the page with Chris. James: “Chris was an army captain when I met him , he applied to be an admin on another page we had at the time ! He won me over with his safc knowledge, ability to make a meme / gif ! Can’t forget his dry humour ! I found him hilarious at times I really did ..

even after he left and ran sunder Lad we still chatted occasionally! I was always laughing at his posts ! He was a devoted father who’s kids were his world ! Loved his dogs too !! He was a massive safc fan and a brilliant photographer! He will be a miss around the safc pages that’s for sure.” Sam: “I first met Chris when I did my first Cuthys bike ride – he led on that one as he’d been Nathan’s boss in the paras.

I have fond memories of bumping into him in Trafalgar Square when he got me to hold his beer while he scaled one of the monuments to join in with the other fans that were up there. He was a top bloke, a fantastic photographer and a huge Sunderland fan” RIP airborne xx Liam: “Absolutely gutted! I first met Chris on here years ago.

Always up for a laugh, Amazing bloke and a true gent who loved Sunderland! being a fellow photographer myself i always thought chris’s work was exceptional and he was a laugh and overall good bloke. I can’t believe i’m writing this. Lost for words to say! Numb and gutted, your going to be missed. Thinking of all your family at this sad time” You will be missed matey!
