In the early hours of this morning, our dear friend and brother, Billy “Lights” Richardson, who was also a legendary figure, passed away…

There are no words that are adequate enough to explain the level of sadness that this loss brings. We will never get over the fact that he left the band since he was a founding member, and he was someone we will always miss. We will never get over the fact that he left the band. We won’t go into any further detail about it because I can already hear Billy saying, “Aye right, Millar, wrap it up you soft git.” As a result, I’m going to put an end to this conversation right now. As soon as the day of the funeral is set, we will get together at Peterlee Central Club to begin making arrangements for a fitting blues-jam send-off celebration.

Any and all musicians, friends, and family members of Billy and the band are more than welcome to join this party, which our Kate has aptly dubbed “Glastonbilly,” and take part in the celebrations that will be taking place there. It was decided that the name of one of Billy’s bands would serve as the basis for the event’s moniker. That is incredible, and we know without a shadow of a doubt that Billy would concur with us that it is wonderful.
